Deutsche Bank speeds Swift standards uptake on Autobahn

Swift's MyStandards tool is to be made available via Deutsche Bank's Autobahn Apps Market.

The integration allows Deutsche Bank clients direct access to MyStandards via a single, centralised online channel to the German bank's structured documentation of payment formats.

Launched in June 2012, MyStandards has 32 large global banks and market infrastructures using the application to manage all their standards-related information. The client onboarding process has been a long-standing challenge for users of the collaborative platform with a significant part of the complexity coming from the integration of messaging formats.

Swift in February launched its own 'Readinees Portal' for users to test their messages against specifications and prove their ability to reach certain quality and straight-through processing rates.

Marc Delbaere, head of MyStandards at Swift says: "We are committed to making it as easy as possible for users to integrate the MyStandards platform into their day-to-day processes. We are delighted that MyStandards will now be made available seamlessly to the entire Autobahn App Market Community. Integration with the industry's major platforms is probably the most efficient path towards full industry adoption of MyStandards."

DB's Autobahn App Market is an online portfolio of the bank's software applications for the commercial banking business, which now houses more than 160 apps.

David Watson, global head of client access products and regional head of product management Americas, Global Transaction Banking at Deutsche Bank says: "Client-centricity is key to our product strategy and cooperating with providers like Swift allows us to further tailor our MyStandards offering to our clients' needs."
