EBAday 2014 set for record turn-out

The Euro Banking Association and Finextra are preparing for a record turn-out at EBAday 2014, Europe's pre-eminent annual payments event, with over 800 bankers and treasury professionals from across Europe expected to attend the two-day conference and exhibition.

An impressive list of board directors, chief financial officers and payments and technology heads from Europe's leading banks have confirmed their participation in the conference programme for the ninth annual EBAday, taking place this year at Helsinki's impressively modernist Finlandia Hall on 10-11 June.

The showpiece event has been buoyed by an inaugural series of EBAday Business Forums in London, Frankfurt, Brussels and Milan, which attracted over 170 participants. The two-hour breakfast meetings, on topics as diverse as intraday liquidity management and payments innovation, comprised of short presentations from guest speakers and a moderated discussion between 25-30 invited bank/corporate participants.

The conference programme at EBAday 2014 picks up where the breakfast briefings left off and features keynotes, panel discussions and break-out sessions from more than 50 of Europe's leading figures in payments. The opening speaker this year is Topi Manner, head of banking, Finland, Nordea Bank, and the Challenger keynote will be given by Andrew Tarver, founder, Bold Rocket and CEO, Capco.

The top-level seminar programme at EBAday is complemented by a bustling exhibition floor, showcasing the complete spectrum of payment processing services from leading banks, ACHs, technology vendors and consultancies.
