Ansarada unveils M&A game app

Wannabe mergers and acquisitions stars can now hone their skills with a new mobile app game which lets players test their deal-making abilities.

The iOS app, developed by virtual data room provider ansarada, lets players create their own customised avatar and corporation before taking on M&A scenarios, pitting their wits against sellers and rival bidders.

Participants start building their empire with a portfolio of companies from across industry sectors by buying, selling or merging, and along the way attempt to amass a fortune and get onto the leader board ahead of colleagues and competitors.

Players build up teams of investment bankers, lawyers and accountants; get financial reports on targets; use data rooms for due diligence; and contend with unexpected market scenarios along the way.

Sam Riley, CEO, ansarada, says: "M&A is usually a long and intensive process involving months of detailed work by everyone working on deals. We decided to design and build a game to provide some escapist fun for the whole M&A community, anywhere in the world."
