Finextra is partnering with Thomson Reuters to launch Social Media Days, an important new series of one-day events exploring the growing use of social media and Web 2.0 technologies in the financial services sector.

Registration is now open for the first two days, kicking off in London on 7 April 2011 and moving to New York on 18 May 2011.

With a focus on both B2B and retail banking, these comprehensive, one-day events will bring together some of the most exciting thought leaders and pioneers in the use of social media in financial services, including: Josh Reich, founder of banksimple, Howard Lindzon, founder of StockTwits, Jaime Punishill, global head of Wealth Online, Thomson Reuters, Allan Schoenberg, director, the CME Group, Hakan Aldrin, managing director for The Benche, SEB, and Lori Feldman, director, branded and social media marketing, Citi GTS, among others.

To support the programme, Finextra has created a global event portal - Social Media Days - which will keep participants up to speed with all the latest developments via the usual mix of blogs, tweets and videos.
