ING Postbank adds Skype to Web banking site

ING subsidiary Postbank has added a Skype voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) facility to its Web site to enable its customers to communicate with bank staff.

The bank has begun a pilot trial of the service which is expected to last three weeks.

The Skype facility has been added to the bank's Web banking site which customers can use to call Postbank's customer services department.

Postbank president Ron van Kemenade, told reporters the service is mainly aimed at young people and students who are familiar with VoIP services.
