Société Générale has selected French IT services firm Atos Origin to develop, maintain and operate its newly-launched mobile phone top-up service.

Atos Origin says it e-payments processing division Atos Worldline will maintain and operate the free mobile top-up service, which the bank launched earlier this year with mobile phone operator Orange France.

Customers signed up to the top-up service can purchase air time via SMS, telephone, or the bank's Web site.

Under the deal, Atos Worldline will manage all aspects of the top-up system, including service calls, user interfaces, SMS processing and diffusion and service monitoring.
