Handelsbanken is moving into the mPOS business, hawking VeriFone-built chip and PIN card readers to Sweden's micro merchants.
Under a deal with VeriFone-owned Point, Handelsbanken will offer a branded chip and PIN reader and app combination which will enable small businesses to accept card payments through their smartphones and tablets.
Point is providing its parent company's EMV-compatible PAYware Mobile devices and managed services including software support, deployment and helpdesk.
