Bats to close its doors to thinly-traded stocks

Bats Global Trading is to close its doors to illiquid stocks, in an initiative intended to address fragmentation of pricing for issuers of thinly-traded securities.

The Swiss bank is planning to open an innovation lab in Level39's high growth space, HighGrowth:42, to explore the role of blockchain technology in financial services.

Rory Cullinan has resigned as head of RBS' investment bank after a series of messages he posted on social media app Snapchat were published in the Sun newspaper in the UK, according to the FT.
