Rule Financial, London-based business and IT consultancy, today launched its Real-Time Business Monitoring Dashboard, a next-generation Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) and service management solution.

The Real-Time Business Monitoring Dashboard provides financial institutions with advanced monitoring tools to capture events from multiple systems and delivers a graphical view of business and technical activities, in real-time. The solution allows firms to quickly identify operational issues and inefficiencies of their internal and outsourced business processes, informing users of business critical issues via automated alerts.

Damian Walton, Head of Asset Based Consultancy, Rule Financial, comments: "Today's financial institutions execute transactions across many deal types. To optimise efficiencies and reduce costs, they need a real-time view of where each trade is across the entire lifecycle, including outsourced delivery networks. The Rule Financial dashboard provides a functionally-rich, flexible monitoring solution to track, for example, the status of trades, enabling organisations to make more informed business decisions, significantly reduce operational risk and improve service levels."

Available as an out-of-the-box solution, the Real-Time Business Monitoring Dashboard eliminates the costly need for multiple front and back office monitoring tools. It provides tailored reports and cost benefit analyses, audits and management summaries, and monitors and reacts to key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of internal processes, for increased operational efficiency. The Rule Financial dashboard also enables the effective management of outsourced service levels through the monitoring of key service indicators (KSIs) and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Marcus Rule, CEO, Rule Financial, comments: "Following a six month client consultation process we have built a superior and cost-effective dashboard solution, which requires minimal IT resources. We will continue to work with our clients to ensure the dashboard is fully supported to meet their evolving needs."

Rule Financial's latest solution uses open standards technology and is database and application server agnostic. Using the in-built adaptors it can be integrated easily into existing systems and supports Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks. The Rule Financial dashboard has a graphical or numerical interface, a wide range of data filters and enables users to map data to icons, colours and text according to their preferences.
