Contactless and travel go hand-in-hand these days. The meteoric rise of touch-and-go on the TfL network has paved the way for new contactless opportunities. The London Rail Network c2c has jumped on the contactless bandwagon and are offering thousands of rail passengers free bPay wristbands to save them time and money.

Every second counts when commuting and bPay removes the need to queue, bag-rummage and the tedium of locked barriers. The wristband is sleek, secure and robust with a comfortable, adjustable strap. Powered by a pre-paid account that’s linked to a debit or credit card, commuters will be able to pay for journeys, up to the value of £30, with just the tap of a wrist. Fitted with the same fraud protection as a debit or credit card, it’s a safe bet.

Thanks to contactless adoption on the London travel network and the scrapping of coins on buses, central London is becoming increasingly cashless. Yet some East London and Essex commuters, at the edge of the city, are still purchasing paper tickets within the Oyster pay-as-you-go zones. By using bPay wristbands, these passengers will benefit from lower daily and weekly capping and can instantly pocket more cash. Commuters who make the longest journeys could save up to £80 a month.

Clearly, commuting with contactless is quickly becoming a no-brainer.
