Banque Zitouna rolls out T24 with Sofgen

Sofgen Holdings Limited, a leading global provider of IT solutions in and around core banking, has announced the successful upgrade of the Temenos T24 platform at Banque Zitouna in Tunisia. The core banking system was upgraded from release T24 R09 to T24 R13.

The project started in October 2014 and went into production on 24 August 2015. The high quality technical upgrade and local code compatibility conversions were completed off-shore, in SOFGEN's Chennai office.

Mr. Lassaad Jaziri, CIO Banque Zitouna commenting on the success of the project said: "The transition to a new version of our global banking system fits perfectly with our aim of modernization and will help the bank deliver on its strategy. We would like to develop more points of sale and improve client service. Our upgraded system will support our commercial development by making the bank more responsive, since our banking system allows the extremely effective deployment of new banking products ".

Banque Zitouna's project manager, Mr. Lassaad Boukari considers that the upgrade to R13 will open new opportunities for the bank to take advantage of technological and functional inputs added by this new version. As for the running of the project, he expressed his appreciation for the commitment and professionalism of the SOFGEN team and hopes to develop a medium-long term partnership with SOFGEN.

Mr. Lahcen Abounasser, responsible for SOFGEN in the Maghreb, commented: "The success of this project is the result of excellent cooperation amongst all stakeholders including the bank's management and SOFGEN, the bank's staff as well as Temenos' and SOFGEN's technical support teams in Chennai".
