Anthemis, the leading digital financial services investment and advisory firm, today announced the 2016 class for its annual Fellowship programme, a unique and intensive year-long initiative designed to provide hands-on development and nurturing for a select few promising future financial services innovators.

Since 2014, the Anthemis Fellowship programme has selected three up and coming entrepreneurs who demonstrate potential to make ground-breaking contributions to the future of financial services. Over the course of the year the Anthemis Fellows are provided with mentorship and resources to develop a business or thesis, and given exposure to the company’s global ecosystem across its investment portfolio and advisory business.

The 2016 Anthemis Fellowship class are:

• Emilia Lischke - a September 2015 graduate of the UCL School of Public Policy, from which she received a master’s degree in international public policy. Emilia will focus on a project using social and technological innovation to restore trust in the financial system.

• Francesco Corea - an academic researcher and data scientist who has written extensively about financial services and advocated for regulatory changes in the Italian Senate. Francesco will be using his inter-disciplinary background to develop ideas to promote the use of digital financial services in varying communities.

• Kyle Dupont - the founder of MatrixVision, a new company that focuses on anti-money laundering compliance. Kyle sees a major opportunity in the ability of technology to reduce errors and improve transparency for financial services compliance.

For each, a programme is customised to provide the Fellow with specific resources and exposure to the leaders specific to that industry throughout the 12 months. A financial stipend is also provided.

Sean Park, founder, chairman and chief investment officer at Anthemis commented: “It is vital that we identify the thought leaders of the future to ensure that Anthemis remains at the cutting edge of innovation. The Anthemis Fellowship was set up to do just that. We are excited about adding to our growing ecosystem of entrepreneurs and are delighted to welcome Emilia, Francesco and Kyle and look forward to helping them develop the skills and experiences to help them reach the top of their game.”
