Co-working space TSO Munt Square, situated in the heart of Amsterdam, officially opened its doors on Wednesday 2 September.

ABN AMRO and The Startup Orgy (TSO) are working together to achieve their joint ambition of helping Dutch start-ups excel. Gerrit Zalm (Chairman of the ABN AMRO Managing Board), Jan-Kees de Jager (CFO of KPN), Kajsa Ollongren (alderperson and deputy mayor of Amsterdam) and Neelie Kroes (Special Enjoy at StartupDelta) attended the opening and talked about the importance of TSO Munt Square in the Dutch start-up scene.

“We are delighted with this first step in our collaboration with start-ups. These small businesses are capable of developing new products, technologies and services in a short space of time, and help make the Netherlands more innovative. So we are happy to make our knowledge, professionals and office space available to them,” says Gerrit Zalm, Chairman of the ABN AMRO Managing Board.
Ambitious entrepreneurs

Co-working space builder TSO - itself a start-up - is pleased that the former ABN AMRO office is now home to a group of ambitious entrepreneurs. Co-founder Dave van der Pol: “In just seven weeks’ time, we have fully transformed a vacant part of the Bloemenmarkt bank branch into a new co-working space where start-ups can develop their ideas. The possibility of serving the start-up scene together with ABN AMRO offers numerous opportunities, which we want to make the most of in the coming months.”

TSO Munt Square offers space to around 15 start-ups and a larger group of professionals (more than 50). A few spots are still available.
