I2c, a global provider of next-generation integrated payments and commerce solutions, today announced it has opened an office in Sydney and hired seasoned industry veteran Philip Julian as head of sales, Australia and New Zealand.
Based out of i2c's new offices in the Sydney Citigroup Centre, Mr. Julian will serve the company's growing client base and oversee expansion efforts in Australia and New Zealand.
"We're focused on supporting our growing global customer base. Over the past year, we've opened offices in Singapore, London, Dubai—and now Sydney," said Scott Salmon, i2c's general manager, International. "Australia and New Zealand are strategic markets for us. Philip's expertise and knowledge add significant bench strength to the value we deliver our customers and prospects."
With more than 20 years' experience in financial services across three continents, Mr. Julian was head of merchant sales for Visa International in Sydney, working closely with strategic partners and key merchants in the Australian market. Prior, he worked in commercial cards for American Express in Sydney and held leadership roles at GE Capital in Europe.
"It's important to have a strong local presence in Australia and New Zealand to support customer business," commented Mr. Julian. "i2c's payments technology is well positioned to take advantage of significant growth opportunities. I am pleased to join a team of industry veterans to serve our customers and expand our footprint in the Asia-Pacific region."
