BMO Global Asset Management today unveiled a new iPad app designed to promote resource sharing and provide performance tracking for financial advisors and other investment professionals.

The app, available in the U.S., also includes a virtual briefcase feature which allows users to store their fund-related documents.

"This app puts valuable information about BMO Funds right at the fingertips of our trusted partners, who are increasingly mobile," said Barry McInerney, Co-CEO, BMO Global Asset Management. "In building this app, we paid special attention to the user interface to provide a simple, yet customizable, user experience."

Available for free through the iTunes® Store, the BMO Global Asset Management app allows users to follow the performance of their selected funds, as well as share factsheets and white papers with colleagues and clients. It also provides offline file storage which can be customized easily to suit the specific needs of each financial advisor or investment professional.

"Users can save and organize materials with the 'My Briefcase' tool – and carry all that information on their iPad®. Financial advisors can then decide what information is most important and how to present it to their clients," said Ben Jones, Managing Director, Intermediary Distribution, BMO Global Asset Management. "Using the login feature, users can share those bundled updates, insights and analyses, as each piece of content can be easily emailed to their clients."

The launch of the iPad® app follows the introduction of the BMO Global Asset Management Viewpoints website, which launched in late 2014. This microsite features a responsive design and exclusively presents the thought leadership of the firm. It features video and audio commentary from experts, including portfolio managers and market strategists, at BMO Global Asset Management.
