MasterCard's O'Malley elected to Fed's secure payments taskforce

MasterCard Chief Payment System Integrity Officer Nancy O’Malley has been elected to the Steering Committee of the United States Federal Reserve Bank’s 225 member Secure Payment Taskforce.Nancy O'Malley.

The Secure Payments Task Force will engage in advancing the work outlined in Strategies for Improving the U.S. Payment System, published in January 2015 by The Federal Reserve.

The Secure Payments Task Force itself was launched in March 2015, and will advise the Federal Reserve on payment security matters, consult on security aspects of the work of the Faster Payments Task Force (also new), and help determine the priorities for future action to advance payment system safety, security and resiliency.

O’Malley joins 15 other representatives from merchant and financial institutions, who together will advise the Task Force Chair on various issues. O’Malley is the sole network representative elected to the Steering Committee.
