Orc, the global market leader in electronic trading technology for listed derivatives, today announced a co-operation with Galaxy Futures Co. to provide high performance connectivity to Orc clients for the Chinese markets.

Clients of both Orc and Galaxy Futures Co. can now take advantage of the joint offering to trade ETF options on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) via Galaxy Futures Co.’s membership.

Galaxy Futures Co. is also providing a number of Orc clients with China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) access for the CSI300 index futures and options mock trading competition. The CFFEX mock trading competition gives firms an opportunity to trade on the pre-production exchange environment and prepare for the launch of CSI 300 index options. Orc and Galaxy Futures Co. will work closely together to ensure their mutual clients have the support required when trading on CFFEX and SSE.

“By leveraging Orc’s expertise and investing in our electronic execution solution, Galaxy Futures Co. will now be able to facilitate extremely efficient and reliable access to the Chinese markets especially to the honorable Orc users,” said Aleck Wu, Managing Director, Galaxy Futures Co. “Orc’s technology is recognized as the global standard and we are excited about this powerful addition to our connectivity offering. We would like to welcome more international Orc users to trade futures and options via Galaxy Futures Co. and would be pleased to offer additional services including administration, legal and clearing in order to help them establish access to the Chinese markets.”

“Through close co-operation with Galaxy Futures Co., we have established a robust offering to satisfy the diverse needs of our international trading customers looking to access the Chinese markets,” said Dennis Chen, VP Sales APAC, Orc Group. “We are delighted to share the same vision with Galaxy Futures Co. in capturing growth in the Chinese market as financial options become more accessible to both domestic and international customers.”
