Scotiabank today announced that it will launch the Scotiabank Mobile Banking app on the Apple Watch.

The app enables users to instantly view their real-time bank balance, and up to five of their most recent transactions, wherever they are -- at a glance -- on Apple Watch.

"Scotiabank continues to be a leader in the mobile banking space," said Jeff Marshall, Scotiabank's Vice President, Self-Service Customer Experience. "Our customers are consistently choosing innovative, secure and simple technology solutions that provide them with access to their financial information wherever they are.

"We are delighted to now make this popular app available for Apple Watch."

Scotiabank's Mobile Banking app for Apple Watch enables customers to check their balance and up to five most recent transactions from their preferred Scotiabank account using our Quick Balance feature, all from their wrist, without the need to log on or to use a password. While the variety of mobile banking services continues to grow in terms of innovation and popularity, Scotiabank customers currently check account balances more often than any other function.

"We are committed to finding and developing innovative self-service banking solutions that put technology to work for our customers," continued Marshall. "Mobile banking solutions are the fastest growing banking channels at Scotiabank, and our customers continue to view our iPhone app as a personal, safe and convenient choice that provides them with the information that they need while they are on the go."

The Scotiabank Mobile Banking Apple Watch app will be available from the Apple Watch App Store on April 24. The Scotiabank Mobile Banking app for iPhone is available now from the App Store.
