The agreement will enable Small World’s customers to send money instantly to MTN’s 22.2 million Mobile Money accounts across Africa, from any of the 32 countries where Small World FS trades, simply by visiting one of the company’s dedicated branches, a convenient agent location, online or using a mobile. Beneficiaries in Africa will receive funds directly in their MTN Mobile Money wallet and can either withdraw funds in any of the numerous MTN Mobile Money points of sale, or use the funds to perform other MTN Mobile Money transactions such as bill payment, saving and goods payment.

The agreement extends Small World FS’s leading position as a global provider of international payment services.

MTN Mobile Money is increasingly an important part of MTN’s service offering, and the partnership with Small World FS further strengthens the operator’s position in cross-border transfers. The service is currently used by over 22 million customers in 16 countries across Africa.

MTN Mobile Money enables users to perform local and international money transfers, make utility payments, save money in their interest bearing mobile wallets, purchase airtime and access a range of mobile financial products.
