Boku names Ingo Lippert CBO, Christian Hinrichs CFO

Boku is naming Ingo Lippert and Christian Hinrichs as the company's new Chief Business Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively

  •  Both Ingo and Christian were founders of mopay, one of Boku's largest carrier billing competitors, acquired by Boku in October 2014. 
  • With the acquisition of mopay, this new combined organization is firmly established as the global leader in direct carrier billing-based mobile payments.
  •  The combined organization reaches more than 4 billion consumers in more than 70 countries. Boku's merchant partners include some of the largest names in online gaming: Valve, gameloft, and Wargaming, and hundreds of other gaming merchants.Boku also has existing global merchant relationships extending into social networks, online services, and even real world goods including Facebook, Sony, Spotify, IPC Media and Electronic Arts. 
  • Ingo Lippert is a 20 year veteran of the payments space and will be assuming the role of CBO vacated by Boku CEO, Jon Prideaux.
  •  As CBO, Ingo will be responsible for leading Boku’s merchant and carrier focused sales and business development efforts across the globe.
  • Christian Hinrichs brings decades of experience in finance, accounting, and investor relations
  •  Prior to co-founding mopay, Christian worked as a Project Manager at Roland Berger & Partner, and has experience in the banking sector, working with companies such as Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank and Delbrück&Co, Privatbankiers
  • Boku is based in San Francisco with offices in Europe, Latin America, and Asia
  • Boku is funded by leading Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and venture capitalists including Andreessen Horowitz, Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and NEA.
