Involved from the very beginning in EPAS and the OSCar projects, Galitt and Elitt build the only complete and functional test offer that will help European laboratories and certification bodies to deliver OSCar certification for POS and acquirers.

This KaNest® for OSCar offer is the result of a close collaboration between Galitt and Elitt, which combined the expertise of their teams on test and payment transactions.

Based on KaNest® simulator, the OSCar certification test offer has been officially validated during the first phase of the project, which has led to the success of several pilot projects in Europe in 2013.

The industrial phase of the project is currently under development, with an European level deployment announced for mid-2015 with two leading retailers: Auchan Group and Carrefour.

Beyond certification needs, OSCar KaNest® simulators bring a precious help to developers to understand and implement these new standards. The teams who developed these tools are now the best experts to deliver support to new partners.

Diane Walch, Business Development Director at Galitt, says: “While EPASOrg, the OSCar consortium and the CIR Group are about to merge in a single organization, we are proud our tools, supported by our consultants, will be able to contribute to the success of the new European standard.”

Jean-Pierre Dubord, Chief Operating Officer at Elitt, adds: “Elitt, as an expert in card system certification tests has been involved in the OSCar project since its inception in 2011. This expertise allows Elitt to support its customers for the development and evaluation of terminals and acquiring systems in order to obtain European OSCar certifications, representing a substantial help in terms of time and expertise. ”

The Groupement des Cartes Bancaires CB (GIECB) representatives contributed to the progress of EPASOrg and the OSCar Consortium. Gilbert Arira, General Manager of GIECB, concludes: “The pilots undertaken in 2013 and 2104 in Spain, in France and in Portugal have demonstrated that the OSCar/EPAS standard was satisfying requirements from major merchants and financial institutions in terms of performance, reliability and interoperability. We can now consider industrial-scale deployments, which require reference test tools. This step is now accomplished thanks to Galitt and Elitt investments, associated with the French card payment players. This constitutes the first concrete move on the path to European level card payments.”
