YellowPepper, Latin America's leading Mobile Payment and Banking solutions provider, recently announced that it will help sponsor the Citi Mobile Challenge U.S. 2014, a virtual developer challenge inviting the most talented developers in the world to build and showcase innovative technology apps and solutions with the potential to transform the digital banking landscape globally.

The Citi Mobile Challenge is intended to accelerate digital banking innovation by bringing together the most talented and creative developers and designers in the world to create cutting-edge applications for Citi's Digital Banking Platforms.

"We are thrilled to form part of this great initiative that provides young, up-and-coming entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their innovative digital banking solutions," said Serge Elkiner, Co-founder and CEO of YellowPepper. "As an entrepreneur myself, I am always willing and eager to support initiatives that foster the growth of the tech ecosystem from coast to coast, opening doors to new players in the tech community."

As a collaborator for the Citi Mobile Challenge U.S. 2014, Elkiner will serve as a judge throughout the Challenge's U.S. tour. A total of up to 60 finalists will be chosen to present their final concept to the judges at one of three demo day events slated to take place in Silicon Valley (November 10), New York City (November 12) and Miami (November 14).

"Citi is excited to team up with YellowPepper and other leading technology firms to connect with the developer community and fuel digital progress in the industry," said Jorge Ruiz, Digital Acceleration Global Program Head. "Citi Mobile Challenge is all about identifying the next big thing that will improve consumers' lives. Our program in Latin America earlier this year was very successful and we are currently evaluating several pilots from the winning solutions."
