Capco, a global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Rose as a Partner to its growing UK team. Based in London, Jonathan has a strong track record in financial services with previous experience including senior roles in banking and as a Partner at a large international consultancy.

At Capco he takes responsibility for the creation and delivery of new business propositions across the banking sector.

“The consulting power and entrepreneurial flair of Capco, combined with the market leading financial services technologies and global scale of its parent company, FIS, are extremely impressive. This compelling combination supported by deeply capable and ambitious employees is what drew me to the company,” Jonathan said. “I am excited to take on this new challenge at a time when banks are fighting to regain consumer trust and position themselves for future growth. As a specialist consultancy we have significant industry expertise to help organisations transform or build new operations to meet these challenges.”

“Jonathan brings deep understanding of the financial services market with significant experience across high-level consulting and management roles. This, alongside the passion and energy he brings to Capco is an ideal blend which will help us drive the banking team forward,” said Steve Vinnicombe, UK CEO. “Our non-hierarchical culture opens the door to innovators across the full scope of financial services we cover; from banking, capital markets and insurance to wealth and investment management, technology and finance, risk and compliance. It is one of the reasons we continue to be named in the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list, something we are particularly proud of.”

Jonathan’s first-hand market knowledge is born out of his previous large bank and corporate roles including Managing Director, COO and CIO at Barclays. His focus there spanned IT service delivery, transformation, management and strategy as well as regulatory compliance, outsourcing and control and governance. On the consulting side, Jonathan brings over ten years’ experience with knowledge around strategy, business process re-engineering, operating model design and business transformation. He has also founded and headed up two technology start-ups.

Jonathan started his career in the Royal Navy as a Navigator, graduating to the rank of Lieutenant. He also continues to be actively engaged with a number of social enterprises in West London, primarily focused on youth unemployment.
