Vakifbank streamlines authentication with Kobil

Kobil, a market leading pacesetter in the production of innovative technologies in the data and digital identity sector, and Vakıfbank, one of Turkey's notable banks, took their long-term cooperation into a new phase to blaze the trail in online banking.

Newly developed Cep İmza, m.identity-based mobile banking app of Vakıfbank, will help online banking users in saving time by providing them with a single password instead of a long and multi-staged SMS validation.

Targeting online banking users, Kobil and VakıfBank have now introduced an innovative banking solution into the market: Cep İmza (Mobile Signature). Thanks to the integration of banking applications, both firms have now succeeded in bringing an end to SMS validation in online banking proceedings by combining the power of iOS and Android operating systems with WEB's strong infrastructure.

Cep İmza is developed in order to improve overall user experience. With the new application, an interactive message is sent to the user's mobile phone during cash outflows, online banking page accesses and internet banking activities carried out at personal computers. The only thing that the customer should do to complete banking transaction from computer is to click the "confirm" button in the message without hassling with SMS stages.

Developed with Kobil's m.identity Application Security Technology (AST), Cep İmza will enable Vakıfbank to meet customer demands more interactively and finalize updates faster. The customers, on the other hand, will be able to conclude their mobile and online banking proceedings with only one click, without even bothering with multi-staged password screen. The new system will also prevent customers to be the new victims of pirating, theft and other types of online manipulations.
