GoldenSource Corporation, the leading independent provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions for the securities and investment industry, today announced the appointment of Eric Bassot as Senior Sales Manager for Italy, Spain and the French-speaking markets.
Based in Milan, and reporting to VP EMEA Sales and Client Operations Massimo Broggi, Bassot will build on a strong network of existing customers and local contacts to grow business throughout these regions.
Bassot said, "I am delighted to join such a fast growing and innovative company as GoldenSource. While there is a lot of commonality in Europe around the data management challenges, there are important and distinct regional variations. What's needed is an approach that helps firms cut through the complexities of the market, particularly in light of regulations such as FATCA, MiFID II and EMIR. There is clearly high demand for a data management solution that pulls together security, position and counterparty data to provide a complete view. We're in prime position to help firms achieve this, and therefore increase efficiencies and improve risk management."
He brings to GoldenSource 15 years' business development experience in the financial technology sector. Prior to joining the company, Bassot was Managing Director at HB Consulting, specialising in Trading Solutions and Data Management. His previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at ITtrading and Managing Director at GL Trade.
Massimo Broggi said, "We are delighted to welcome Eric as a new member of our team. At a time when financial institutions are faced with the three-fold challenge of reducing cost, improving data quality and achieving regulatory compliance, the demand for our data management products and services is constantly increasing. Eric has a strong background in financial data combined with an excellent understanding of the central European markets. As such, he has the skills and expertise required to further enable GoldenSource to respond to these increasing business demands."
