Creditcall, the EMV-ready payment gateway provider and EMV migration specialist, has strengthened its U.S. team with the appointment of Doug Wallace as its new Head of North America (Retail).

In his new role, Wallace will be responsible for continuing to build the company's U.S. division and heading up Creditcall's North America activities for the retail industry. He will also be involved in the development of banking relationships and the certification process in North America.

Wallace has more than 20 years of experience in retail POS payment systems and was most recently Vice President of Operations and Client Services North America at YESpay, where he was responsible for business development and partner relationships. He also has experience in the provision of successful payment solutions into the retail sector, with experience working with McDonalds and Sears. He will report directly to Creditcall CEO Peter Turner.

Doug Wallace, Head of North America, says: "I'm delighted to be joining Creditcall at such an exciting time for the U.S. market. The company is already a respected authority in the U.S. and the opportunities are huge."

Peter Turner, CEO of Creditcall, says: "With the US rapidly heading towards EMV migration, Creditcall's already proven expertise and ability to provide pre-certified solutions means we can provide migration solutions for any level of retailer. Doug is a hugely respected authority in the payments industry and a great addition to the U.S. team."
