Xchanging plc, the business process, procurement and technology services provider, and Xuber, its insurance software business, today announced an expansion of their Indian presence with the opening of a second office in Gurgaon.

The move demonstrates the businesses' commitment to ongoing investment in their operations and valued employee base in the country.

This week a team of 150 staff moved into the new office. Taking into account anticipated business growth, which is being supported by aggressive recruitment plans, Xchanging and Xuber expect to fully occupy this facility by the end of 2014. This will see employee count in the Gurgaon operations increase from 1,100 to 1,200.

Xchanging's Gurgaon operations support UK, US and Europe-based customers in the Insurance and Financial Services space, providing technology and business processing solutions. The location is the largest of Xuber's global delivery centres, with teams providing product development and testing services.

As well as continued growth in these areas, Xchanging is also seeing increased demand for its Application and Engineering Services, from both local and global customers in the financial services, insurance, manufacturing and CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sectors.

Alok Sinha, Country Head, Xchanging India comments: "We are delighted to be opening a second office in Gurgaon. This move expands our presence in the dynamic and exciting Indian market, and will further enable us to support our clients' business needs and drive innovation within the industry."

Adrian Morgan, Head of Xuber, comments: "This move is the latest exciting stage in Xuber's global expansion. The new office includes a dedicated Xuber area that will support our development of software to meet global needs, and enable us to better respond to business opportunities in new regions."

Xchanging was recently awarded Level 5 in its CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) assessment, the highest mark of this industry benchmark. The award recognises the work of the Gurgaon-based application engineering team which supports the London insurance market. Xchanging is one of only ten companies worldwide qualified in both CMMI for Development and CMMI for Services.
