Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of global pricing, fixed income evaluations, reference and corporate actions data, today announced a collaboration with Microsoft in support of today's most demanding requirements for servicing capital markets applications.

"Whether it's compiling regulatory reports, producing real-time risk assessments, or developing new multi-currency, multi asset investment products, our clients' business requirements are becoming more and more complex by the day," said Andrew Hausman, President Interactive Data Pricing and Reference Data. "It's clear to us that our clients need accessible solutions that help them to leverage the tools they already have at their fingertips. Delivering our data through Microsoft's BI solutions is one of many ways that our open architecture will enable continuous support of our clients' needs in a timely and cost effective way."

Interactive Data intends to leverage Windows Azure and Power BI for Office 365 to make their pricing and reference data accessible via some of the most ubiquitous applications in the world.

"We are committed to supporting application developers to achieve faster time to market," said Kim Akers, General Manager, Developer and Platform Evangelism, Microsoft Corp. "The integration of Interactive Data's capital markets content into Microsoft's business intelligence solutions will support functions as various as investment research and modelling, to quantitative risk management, all the way through to back office operations and regulatory reporting."
