Innovative mobile shopping app Ziploop, led by founders Peter Jackson, Sandra Breber and Paul Martinelli, announced a $2.2 million seed round on Friday.

Investors in the seed round include, General Partner with Foundation Capital, Bill Elmore, JBM Ventures Partner, James B. Morris, Managing Partner at Greenback Ventures, James Peters, Managing Director at Texas Pacific Group, Ted Breck, Founder and former CEO at Barra, Andrew Rudd, General Partner at Inman Investment Management, Grant Inman, and General Partner at Canaan Partners, John Balen.

Ziploop, founded in April 2013, has had impressive growth, with thousands of shopping documents being uploaded through its servers on a daily basis. "With Ziploop, we've branched out from the 'old world' model of shopping," says Ziploop CEO and Founder Peter Jackson. "We see a massive opportunity here with retailers shifting from paper to digital and emailed receipts and rewards. We use our mobile devices for everything, so why shouldn't shopping be a part of that?" The Ziploop application clears purses and wallets of paper, cards, coupons and certificates and stores them all neatly on your mobile device, tablet or desktop.

"More than 80% of the annual $2.2 trillion consumer spend is directed by women," says Ziploop President and Founder Sandra Breber. "Ziploop is one of the few apps built for women by a woman. We not only shop for ourselves, but for our home, kids, husbands, and everyone in between. We purchase everything from clothing to furniture and those transactions create a lot of paperwork. Ziploop makes it effortless to stay organized and get the best value. A user simply snaps a photo or emails a receipt, reward or trend and Ziploop does the rest. You can even receive push notifications before rewards expire to take advantage of savings."

Ziploop not only makes the life of the consumer easier, but also helps retailers analyze and better serve their customers. "At OluKai, the opportunity is to get closer to our users and to understand why they shop and what they need. Being able to connect with our customers via mobile helps us communicate with the consumer too get them exactly what they want and make sure they stay updated on our newest products." says OluKai Co-Founder Dan McInerny.

Consumers are constantly inundated with retailer communications whether by mail or email. Many retailers are also challenged by the fact that it is very costly to be constantly sending out both physical and digital catalogues and rewards to generate sales for product lines. Ziploop allows retailers to rapidly engage with their users on seasonal offerings, while also saving on printing and postage costs.

"Our goal is to build Ziploop into the largest mobile shopping utility for both consumers and retailers," says Ziploop CEO and Founder Peter Jackson. "We are a focused, driven startup and are thrilled to be supported by some of the best leaders in the industry."
