GlobalCollect, the world's most knowledgeable payment service provider, today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Diners Club International, a subsidiary of Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS), and part of the Discover Global Network.
This agreement will make GlobalCollect a global acquirer for all cards running on the Discover Global Network thereby increasing merchants' payment options in key international markets.
GlobalCollect will provide merchants with single source electronic payment services for the acceptance of Discover® card from the United States, Diners Club International®, BC Global Card from South Korea, DinaCard from Serbia and RuPay® from India. Research shows that these cards attract more affluent card members who spend more[1], making them especially attractive consumers for travel, dining, entertainment and retail merchants.
