Square Cash today introduced a new feature that enables anyone to request money from an individual or group in seconds.

Since its launch last October, customers across the country have been using Square Cash to send millions of dollars to one another each week. The new feature makes it easier than ever to request money - whether you're a coach collecting dues for little league uniforms or planning a group birthday dinner for a friend, Square Cash is fast and free.

Square Cash is revolutionizing the way people exchange value by creating the easiest, most accessible way to send and receive money without having to sign up or even create an account.

The new request feature makes it effortless to collect money - staving off those awkward conversations with friends and colleagues about the money they owe you. With Square Cash, anyone can now request money for everything from concert tickets and vacation rentals to class field trips and college textbooks.

Customers can request money directly from the Square Cash app (available on iOS and Android) or by simply composing an e-mail.

The request feature also works when replying-all to a group thread - making it more convenient to reach friends and family at once when planning getaways and events.

In addition, Square Cash now enables customers to check in on the status of a requested payment at anytime to see who has paid and who still owes them money, streamlining the collection process from groups of all sizes.

Square Cash is free to send and receive, and there is no signup process. Funds are directly deposited into the recipient's bank account, rather than held in a stored balance account. Square Cash is available for Android and iOS and also works from any e-mail client. Square Cash is only available in the U.S.,
