BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System payment solutions for the global financial industry, announces today that Belgazprombank, in the Republic of Belarus has gone live with SmartVista. Founded in 1990, Belgazprombank is the 7th largest banks in the country.
To support the Bank's strategy and innovative culture, Belgazprombank made the decision to implement its own processing centre, thereby allowing the Bank to take full control of its payments business. With SmartVista as a kernel of the new processing system, the Bank is able to support international payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard and China UnionPay along with the local payment system - "Belkart". Additionally the Bank is now better positioned to meet new state regulations and initiatives. During the project BPC Banking Technologies used its expertise in connecting to national payment systems to rapidly integrate to the "Belkart" system, which has over 5 million cards in circulation.
The Bank also provides a wide range of card products, including Visa payWave, MasterCard PayPass products, Visa Money Transfer and MasterCard MoneySend technologies. With SmartVista the Bank has been able to significantly improve time to market with new products and services.
