SunGard, one of the world's leading software and technology services companies, today announced a plan to simplify the leadership structure of SunGard Financial Systems.
Under the new model, Financial Systems will have two operating executives reporting directly to Russ Fradin, SunGard's president and CEO. As a result of this change, Harold Finders, currently CEO of Financial Systems, has decided to leave the company on January 31, 2014.
Mr. Fradin noted: "It's a plan we have been working on for a long period of time. Unfortunately, as Harold and I explored various possibilities for the new model and discussed some of the details for how we could work together going forward, Harold came to the conclusion that the timing and circumstances were right for him to move on from SunGard. We are grateful to Harold for his many contributions and service to SunGard and Financial Systems over the past 25 years. Harold has been a valued member of the management team as well as a mentor and friend to many across the company. He leaves SunGard with a legacy of success. On behalf of everyone at SunGard, I wish Harold all the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his efforts in ensuring a smooth, seamless transition."
