Markit appoints Jeff Gooch CFO

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, today announced the appointment of Jeff Gooch as chief financial officer.

Gooch was previously global head of processing, chief executive officer and chairman of MarkitSERV, Markit's trade processing platform for OTC derivatives. He joined Markit in 2007 from Morgan Stanley where he worked for 11 years, most recently as head of global fixed income operations. Gooch is a chartered accountant (ICAEW) and worked in Ernst & Young's financial services practice for eight years. He remains chairman of MarkitSERV.

Brad Levy will be taking over as global head of processing and chief executive officer of MarkitSERV. Levy was previously cohead of Markit's information business. Prior to joining Markit in 2012, he spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as managing director in the Principal Strategic Investments Group.

Lance Uggla, chief executive officer of Markit, said: "Jeff's knowledge of the company and his financial expertise make him the ideal person for the role of chief financial officer. This appointment strengthens our executive management team and positions us well for the future."
