Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, announced today that Lynn S. McCreary has been promoted to executive vice president and general counsel, effective July 1, 2013.

Ms. McCreary succeeds Charles Sprague, who will serve as chief legal officer to the company until his retirement in February 2014.

"Lynn's record of success at Fiserv and in private practice, coupled with a solid financial services knowledge base, positions her for success as our general counsel," said Jeffery Yabuki, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fiserv. "Her energy, intellect and enthusiasm are differentiating aspects of her leadership persona, and will serve her well as a member of our executive leadership team."

Since March 2010, McCreary has served as deputy general counsel at Fiserv, with responsibility for several areas, including litigation and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Fiserv, she was a partner at Bryan Cave LLP, where she served a variety of clients in the financial, retail, commercial and insurance sectors, and was also the Managing Partner of the firm's San Francisco office. She began her professional career in mortgage banking. McCreary earned her law degree from Washburn University.

McCreary succeeds Charles Sprague, who joined Fiserv as executive vice president and general counsel in 1994. Sprague worked with the company prior to becoming the company's first general counsel.

"For nearly 20 years, Charlie has served Fiserv with a commitment to excellence and helped build Fiserv into an industry leader," Yabuki added. "We thank him for his many contributions to Fiserv and wish him well in the future."
