TMX Atrium, provider of smarter infrastructure solutions for the financial community, today announced that Raptor Trading Inc., (Raptor) has connected to TMX Atrium in Toronto to take advantage of low latency access to Canadian exchange market data.

Raptor is a leading multi-asset electronic trading and risk management specialist with a rich product set. This product set includes order routing, algorithmic software and analytics tools that complement participants' trading strategies. Raptor joins many multi-asset class participants that are 'on-net' with TMX Atrium.

Raptor's connectivity to TMX Atrium means that clients in Canada or the US can access Raptor technology across a wide range of trading locations and are provided with a platform for growth into Europe. Raptor's existing and future broker community can now connect clients to multiple markets across TMX Atrium's infrastructure and be assured of robust and fully scalable connectivity to key markets across the world.

Emmanuel Carjat, Managing Director, TMX Atrium said, "We aim to keep abreast of key regulatory drives that could potentially impact the requirements of our community. As such, the regulation that comes into effect at the beginning of June 2013 puts much pressure on participants to maintain and accurately report on electronic trading activities in order to better manage the associated risks. We welcome Raptor into our community and look forward to helping them deliver better options on pre-trade risk to trading firms and their brokers. This will help Raptor's capabilities to be reached by an ever-increasing audience."

Sunny Kim, Global Director of Sales & Consulting, Raptor Trading Inc., added, "Since Raptor's inception in 2004, we have focused on building our network of buy and sell side participants primarily in North America. Connectivity to TMX Atrium instantly expands our global coverage and ensures our pre-trade risk capabilities can be accessed by TMX Atrium's extensive European community. We are well-placed to help firms meet their National Instrument 23-103 requirements and look forward to welcoming TMX Atrium community members onto our platform."
