Graz Sweden AB, a leading data warehouse provider for the financial industry, announced today the first installation of its newest business intelligence module, Sales Navigator, at Swedbank Robur, Scandinavia's largest fund management group with over US $100 billion AUM.

With over 130 funds, and marketed through more than 80 banks to more than 4 million clients, Swedbank Robur has for years relied on Graz's industry-leading data warehouse, Hinc, to facilitate its complex reporting and analytical processes. With the new Sales Navigator module, Swedbank Robur adds a state of the art business intelligence platform.

"We had a very challenging situation with millions of customers and a very complex distribution organization," said Morgan Andersson, Head of Sales Management, Swedbank Robur. "Thanks to Hinc, we now have the visibility we need to drive improvements to our marketing strategies and product development processes. Hinc also has built-in business analytics functionality from Microsoft SQL Server, helping us to avoid additional software license costs."

Notwithstanding its vast distribution network and a complex organizational structure, Swedbank Robur maintains complete control over their data all via a single instance of SQL Server. With the added ability to analyze historical and real-time sales and profitability data, even while taking into consideration such factors as cost, rebates and fees, Sales Navigator enables Swedbank Robur to make critical tactical and strategic decisions to stay ahead of their competition.

"Sales Navigator is the perfect example of what financial firms can achieve by utilizing Hinc to gather all of their data in a single place," says Jonas Olsson, the CEO of Graz. "We are proud to have Swedbank Robur as a client. For years they have utilized our data warehouse technology to improve operational efficiencies and lower operational risks and costs. Now we are seeing how, when properly architected, the same data warehouse may be leveraged to drive strategic decision-making by empowering business intelligence tools."

"As Swedbank Robur's use of Hinc demonstrates, what is most challenging when architecting a data warehouse is not the amount of data stored but rather the complexity of the data and whether the data can be easily accessed," said Vincent Fily, Worldwide Capital Markets Technology Strategist at Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft has a long-term commitment to supporting mission-critical operations in financial services. Hinc, based on SQL Server, provides financial institutions with an integrated, cost-effective platform to obtain deep business insight to meet the evolving needs of their business."
