Iliad Solutions, a leading supplier of advanced testing products and consultancy services for the card processing and payments industry, today announced the extension of its T3 testing platform to support the recently announced M-Payments Service being launched in 2014.
Last February the industry, through the UK Payments Council, commissioned VocaLink to build a central database that will allow bank customers to link their phone number to their account for person-to-person and person-to-business mobile payments.
The new service will enable secure payments to be made directly to or from an account without the need to disclose the sort code and account number, by simply using a mobile phone number as a proxy.
Building on the foundations of the successful deployment of the T3 Platform in the majority of UK banks for the UK Faster Payments Scheme, and more recently 7 Day Account Switching, T3 is now able to simulate the behaviour of the Central Database infrastructure allowing member banks to manage the end-to-end testing of a mobile payment. T3 will provide functional and non-functional test support for the full message set, simplifying the integration with the central infrastructure and all other scheme members.
Additionally, in order to assist members testing the different components of the new scheme, Iliad are also providing changes to existing payment interfaces, such as LINK and FPS, enabling T3 users to have a fully integrated test suite covering all elements of the mobile payment process.
