Global Payments in the UK, formerly HSBC Merchant Services, has launched a new website providing their customers with a secure Customer Centre and a new App Store that gives access to pre-qualified technology tools, educational resources and free trials, each of which is designed to make doing business easier and more cost effective.

The App Store has been developed in collaboration with SaaS Markets, a leading business app store platform provider.

Customers of Global Payments in the UK can use the App Store to easily access valuable tools to help them run their business operations. The apps allow customers to automate their businesses and to reduce the cost of buying and deploying hardware and software.

"Global Payments is committed to providing its customers with the resources they need to be successful," said Chris Davies, Managing Director of Global Payments. "This App Store within the Customer Centre provides cost-effective tools and applications that help customers improve and streamline operations, more easily manage finances, and ultimately helps boost top and bottom-line results."

Not only does the App Store provide Global Payments' customers with a wide variety of business and educational tools, but customers can also take advantage of "try-before-they-buy" free trials. The App Store's cloud-based business applications are all scalable, customisable and easily accessible to our customers and include: Accounting and Finance; Data Management; IT; Sales Security; Website and Content Management.

SaaS Markets is extremely selective, running each potential application through a rigorous acceptance process. "Our process is so rigorous that only 18% of apps actually make it into the app store," said Ferdi Roberts, founder and CEO of SaaS Markets. "Our process and platform give Global Payments customers confidence that they will easily find the right app for their business, which will deliver the features, functionality and performance they need to be successful."
