Micropross announced today official confirmation that their EMVCo L1 contactless PICC analog test tool is compliant with the requirement from the EMVCo organization. The applicable version of the test standard is 2.2a.

The goal of this test tool is to make sure a contactless smartcard, or a NFC device that operates as a smartcard, behaves in conformance with the criteria defined by EMVCo. That means, customers using Micropross EMVCo L1 Contactless test bench in their R&D centers can perform in-house testingbefore submitting their devices to EMVCo accredited laboratories. Therefore, customers can save time and money, by being able to reduce significantly the time spent in validation laboratories.

Philippe Bacle, CEO of Micropross declared : "With the validation of our test tool based on the latest EMVCo test specifications, Micropross once again proves its technological dominance on Level 1 related solutions. Our strong will is to continue in this direction, and keep on building for our customers the widest offer in terms of test solutions for contact and contactless technologies".

Indeed, Micropross had already announced earlier this year the availability on their test platform of test suites for different subjects such as NFC Forum (total coverage : analog, digital protocol, LLCP, SNEP), ISO 10373-6, ISO 10373-7, ICAO. A coverage that no other tool vendor is able to supply from their own strengths.

Stéphane Czeck, R&D director added : "Our solutions are 100% Micropross made : hardware and software. Therefore, our customers can benefit from the most optimised implementations for the different test cases, as well as efficient technical support. After all, who knows better Micropross hardware than Micropross themselves?
