Wincor Nixdorf and SAP team on front office application testing

After obtaining interface certification from SAP for its front-office application last year, Wincor Nixdorf and SAP has now created a joint evaluation package to enable banks around the world to see and experience how current account and savings account transactions are handled end-to-end with the connected SAP Deposit Management solution, and how the application is operated later in practice.

Integrating front-office applications in core banking applications always entails a lot of programming. Consequently, it was not possible to validate a solution before it was installed. Wincor Nixdorf has changed that with its solution concept. Linking the application to SAP's posting system via a certified interface eliminates the time and effort involved in integration. Together with SAP's unique accelerator called "One Touch Banking Toolbox" which is a full blown and operational banking environment portable & deployable anywhere using standard server infrastructures banks can extensively test and evaluate the front office application PC/E Teller Operations within the context of SAP Core Banking system for both innovation workshops or accelerated proof of concept. As a result individual requirements can be formulated faster and more concretely.

PC/E Teller Operations is a modern front-office software package for processing both cash and non-cash transactions in current account, savings account and forex environments. As a front-end application, it provides the SAP core banking system with customer, account and posting data, and fits very well with a seamless integration into corebanking to the SAPs Multichannel Strategy in this area. Here Wincor Nixdorf is one of the first partners.

Banks benefit from a flexible, tried-and-tested and end-to-end solution from both companies. "PC/E Teller Operations enables banks to set up customized front-office processes and achieve a high degree of automation in handling front-office transactions - for example by connecting automated teller safes or other front-office terminals," states Stefan Wahle, Vice President Solutions at Wincor Nixdorf.
