SEC delays ruling on Nasdaq Facebook IPO compensation

Securities regulators in the USA will delay a ruling on Nasdaq OMX Group's plan to compensate firms that suffered losses during Facebook's botched IPO in May.

The SEC needs additional time to consider Nasdaq's USD62 million compensation proposal. The SEC also needs further time to consider comments received from various parties.

The SEC, which had been expected to make a decision by January. 28, said its decision would be made by March 29.
