Transactor Global Solutions Limited (TGSL) announces the appointment of Mark Ryder as Finance Director with effect from 1 January 2013.

Ryder will focus initially on assisting the board to achieve a range of strategic objectives during 2013, explore further growth through acquisition opportunities and help TGSL establish a presence in North America and the Pacific Rim. He will work both from TGSL's head office in Winchester, Hampshire and its new offices in the London Underwriting Centre, where Transactor London Market (TLM) is to be based from February 2013.

As TGSL's Finance Director, Ryder's involvement with TLM is an important part of the role and his experience in the City will be extremely useful as the TLM business enters its next phase of growth.

Ray Vincent, Chief Executive Officer, TGSL said, "We have grown TGSL's various businesses by about 30% again year to date. As reported in our latest results for the trading year 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012, we have been looking to strengthen our Board with the appointment of a Finance Director during this current trading period. This is an important development for the business and we have spent time in identifying the right person to take on this role. I am very pleased we have been able to reach agreement with Mark."

On establishing a presence in North America and the Pacific Rim, Vincent added, "More than ever we are living in a global market, and for our larger clients we need a global footprint to bring the full benefits of adopting Transactor technology to bear. It's a very exciting time for the business, and we need to consolidate our existing achievements, whilst seizing emergent opportunities to develop a total supply chain presence for Transactor."

On his appointment, Mark Ryder commented, "I have known Ray and TGSL for some time and have watched the development of both their software and market propositions with interest. The business has now reached a point where, as demonstrated by their growth, they are ideally placed for significant further expansion. I am delighted to be joining them at such an exxciting point"
