The Board of Directors of Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun Mattingley who will be focusing on Voluntary and Regulated carbon market sales in Europe.

Shaun is a highly experienced executive with 20 years of Senior Management / Director level in sales, marketing and product management serving the wholesale capital, energy and commodity trading markets plus 10 years as a 'front office' capital markets practitioner as both bank trader and broker. Previous experience in Thomson Financial, Dow Jones and other senior roles has been rounded out in his last role as Global Director of Sales & Marketing for Speakerbus Plc based in Switzerland.

CTX CEO Wayne Sharpe comments "Shaun adds the firepower we need to expand in the European market, and we are pleased to have a man of his caliber as we enhance further what CTX has to offer in all Carbon Markets".

Shaun's first engagement for CTX has been to attend the Gold Standard Foundation annual conference in Geneva which is currently under way, Gold Standard being one of CTX's many partners and clients based in Switzerland.

"Switzerland is rapidly becoming the European hub second to London for Carbon with growing numbers of originators, brokers and banks whose headquarters are based there" says Sharpe. "Perhaps this will be part of the stimulus to breathe life back into the flagging electronic Carbon markets in Europe going into 2013".
