Charles River, a front- and middle-office investment solutions provider today announced that Folketrygdfondet, which manages assets for the Norwegian Ministry of Finance, is live on the Charles River Investment Management System Version 9 (Charles River IMS).

Folketrygdfondet will use Charles River IMS to manage the Government Pension Fund Norway and the Government Bond Fund.

"We needed to expand our front-office capabilities, but also wanted a system with low maintenance requirements on our part" said Jorn Nilsen, Operations Director, Folketrygdfondet. "By entrusting our technology provision and day-to-day hosting and application management to Charles River, we are able to focus on our key task: asset management for the Norwegian government. Folketrygdfondet will use Charles River's hosted enterprise solution to support equity, fixed income, FX and derivatives, and automate portfolio management, compliance, order and execution management, and electronic trading through Charles River FIX Network Services.

"Most clients opt for Charles River hosting to lower the cost of ownership, reduce their reliance on scarce IT resources and maximize the business value of Charles River," said Tim Green, Managing Director, Charles River EMEA. "Over 60 Managed Services clients like Folketrygdfondet benefit from a highly experienced team of experts who are singularly focused on client satisfaction and user adoption."
