Compass Plus, an international provider of retail banking software and electronic payments systems to financial institutions, announced that Moscow, Russia-based NOMOS-BANK now offers online account opening and loan management through its NOMOS-Link Internet banking system, which is built on TranzWare Internet Banking.

NOMOS-BANK has enabled three of its most popular deposit account types to be opened remotely via NOMOS-Link, without having to visit the bank's branch. The NOMOS-Link system also allows full management of deposits and partial withdrawals, if it is included in the account terms and conditions. The bank plans to expand the range of deposit accounts that can be opened via the online channel in the future.

NOMOS-BANK has also launched a service that allows customers to access full up-to-date information about their loans and payment schedule via NOMOS-Link, including credit terms and conditions, loan amount and payment history and pending payments. The bank's customers can use NOMOS-Link to make credit loan repayments - both scheduled and early repayments.

"There is a clear trend in the market today towards the development of remote banking channels and services available via them. If previously in most banks Internet banking was generally reduced to simply providing information, now there is an active development of functionality. This is why an option of opening a term deposit account via NOMOS-Link is a logical extension of NOMOS-BANK's strategy to increase service quality and develop the product line aimed at a modern customer," said Alexander Bazanov, director of the department for retail products development and support at NOMOS-BANK.

NOMOS-Link allows users to quickly and securely obtain information on their accounts and cards, purchase and sell precious metals, issue virtual cards, convert currency, manage deposit accounts and apply for loans and credit cards. Using NOMOS-Link, customers can make bank transfers for a smaller fee than in bank branches.

"The architecture of the TranzWare product suite, including TranzWare Internet Banking, enables financial institutions such as NOMOS-BANK to quickly and cost-effectively enter the market with the products and services requested by customers," said Maria Nottingham, chief marketing officer for Compass Plus. "Consumers are seeking more convenient access to their financial information, as well as the ability to perform more banking functions via the online channel and TranzWare Internet Banking has helped NOMOS-BANK answer that demand."
