In his new position, Thomas Beck will report directly to CTO, Klaus Rausch, and will be responsible for the implementation of the product strategy. Beck will act as the driving force behind the further development of the Avaloq Banking System, ensuring steady advancement and improvement, as well as a constant flow of innovation.

"Thomas brings a long history of technical and organisational accomplishments to the job and is drawing on more than 20 years of experience working in information technology within the financial industry", said Klaus Rausch, CTO of Avaloq. "His in-depth knowledge of financial centres throughout the world will help us adapt the Avaloq Banking System even further for new markets."

Among other complex projects, Beck implemented a global risk management and control system, and participated in the design and implementation of a global IT platform for investment banking at UniCredit Bank AG. While at UniCredit Bank AG, Beck was also in charge of several application management areas, including middle and back-office, accounting and product control systems, at its branches in London, Vienna, Milan, New York and Asia. Alongside his professional experience, Beck also has a strong academic track record. He received his degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich, where he obtained his doctorate in 1992. Beck has also held lectures on economical and financial mathematics at several universities.
