The arrangement follows Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the world leader in car rentals, requiring a new payment solution for secure, PCI compliant acceptance of card payments away from the office.

Spire Payments has recently deployed its M4230 mobile card payment terminal to 350 Enterprise office locations across the UK. The M4230 is a fully accredited, secure chip & PIN device that takes credit and debit card transactions at mobile locations using GPRS as its method of communication.

The terminal has also been customised enabling Enterprise specific reference details to be entered when completing a transaction, aiding in Enterprise's internal processes.

At the same time, and in conjunction with Spire, TS3 Services Ltd, one of the UK's leading payment processors, has developed a solution that enables Enterprise to easily process refunds and secondary additional transactions for customers wanting to extend their car rentals using the payments industry innovation of Tokenisation*. As a result Enterprise can now cross reference any subsequent transactions with a unique token which the merchant can use in place of the original card details.

TS3 have also tailored their solution to include and display Enterprise specific fields within their online tool, again, assisting in various back end processes.
