Sterci, the leading international software provider of SOA solutions for STP, today announced, that 3 Banken EDV in Austria - the IT-company serving the three Austrian banks Oberbank, BKS Bank and Bank für Tirol und Vorarlberg - completed the migration from MERVA to Sterci.

This successful migration globally consolidated their domestic and international SWIFT message traffic. With headquarters in Linz, Innsbruck and Klagenfurt and 10 BIC correspondent Banks - 3 Banken EDV now uses STELINK as its centralised platform for all business transactions.

The STELINK application is used as a HUB for SWIFT messages that are exchanged with the various external and internal bank branches and entities. Interfaced with back-office applications and AML products via MQ Series, STELINK is managing SWIFT FIN & RMA traffic for all branches. 3 Banken EDV business users in dispersed locations are now connected over a WEB Thin Client interface for all SWIFT FIN & RMA activities.

"The migration from MERVA was smooth" explains Joost Meuwissen, from systems engineering-group at 3 Banken EDV. "STELINK is reliable, easy to manage and particularly easy to use for business people. The very positive results of the Proof of Concept and the STELINK Thin Client presentation and evaluation were the competitive differentiators that drove our selection of Sterci's financial messaging platform."

Etienne Savatier, Sterci Director of International Sales commented: "It is a pleasure to welcome 3 Banken EDV to our growing list of live customers. Our product STELINK provides them with a strategic messaging platform solution, combining the latest technology for efficiencies of operations, enhanced client experience, reduced operational risk, and continued control of operating costs."

Sterci's high-performance financial messaging solution provides an open service oriented architecture for Integration, Transformation, Message management, and Connectivity. All user functions are available through a browser based GUI. It is natively designed to support multiple networks SWIFT, SEPA, FIX, SIC, SECOM, SARIE, and is best positioned to replace existing products which are not compliant with JEE and XML standards such as MINT, MERVA, PROSWITCH and BESS.
