Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD) today announced that Kumar K. Pavithran, vice president, integrated services and software development, will lead the company's integrated services (IS), global software development and global professional services teams.
Pavithran's teams are responsible for IS-related applications and platforms and the global development, delivery and operations of all software platforms. This group is also responsible for Agilis EmPower, which provides powerful ways for customers to provide consistent user experiences across multiple channels, global service tools, global integrated services offerings including mobile banking, and monitoring tools such as XMS and Opteview.
"By aligning all development groups under one organization, we gain economies of scale, improve collaboration and ultimately provide consistent user experiences across multiple channels and offerings," said Charles E. Ducey, Jr., executive vice president, North America operations. "I am confident that under Kumar's leadership, these teams will be better aligned and poised to deliver top quality software and services solutions for our customers."
Pavithran joined Diebold as vice president, software and services development, in April 2007. Before coming to Diebold, Pavithran held various engineering and management positions with Unisys, Lucent Technologies and Percepia Networks.
He received a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Regional Engineering College in Trichy, India. Pavithran also received a master's degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill.
